Locket of Slytherin

this is what i think the locket of slytherin looks like, at least in my head, no fancy ornate around the sides for clasps or nothing, just a simple swing open locket.

which makes it more amusing that they can't open it because its not even supposed to close permenantly. and i believe it opens vertically so that if u lay it sideways it looks like eyeglasses and then makes more sense if u read the deathly hallows.

the poem is inspired by the locket's course in the deathly hallows, so if u didn't read it (whyyyy) then dont read the poem part.

its old, grungy, and though slytherin has been a green (emerald) and white (silver) motif, i feel a pureblood aristocrat like salizar would consider himself nothing short of royalty, and considering the age he would have lived Gold is the only thing he would wear, gold with emeralds. perhaps the original hogwarts system was unicolor houses, and the secondary colors came later, as with most old institutions.

to be honest there was so much going on with the damn book i forgot if they even mentioned it was gold or not, but part of me wanted it to be silver AND gold at the same time, so u can see in the highest highlight of the outer ring of the locket, it shines shades of sliver meaning depending on how the locket hits the light, its either.

the gold chain is just to not be like frodo, cuz the whole it makes u act like a dick thing is waaaaaaaay to lotr for me.
