Venom and Spidey part 2 and 3

Here is the continuation of my sketch Part 1. i went ahead and utilized colored pencils for a nice cartoonish rough look, and then inked over everything for some contrast and definition. i love colored pencils because they can be as neat or as rough as you want them to be, and if u decide to do a basic cutout filter in photoshop they can give you a very complicated nice looking piece that you can't force any other way, the shapes are very organic from a photo or painting (actually u could do it with a painting so why bother). its by no means an end result, im just saying i like the way things come out that way. when you work in photoshop for a living complex can get on your nerves, sometimes you have to go back to simple and to basics, and thats kinda what this whole project was about.

so yeah nothing too exciting in the background just a familiar rooftop to any frequent player of SPIDER-MAN II the game, that short top just before central park which seems to be where you have to race through in a short time, conveniently where there is a building shortage :/

i do have an inked outline of the piece and i may do a rendered pic, or i may just post the inking and let someone else do it if they want.

for now i am moving along to some other reworks, maybe a Fantastic Four or a spiderman vs Green Goblin pic or something of the sort.

also as you can see i decided on black webbing for venom, the tarred look and i kept that theme going with black webs, and a tongue goo.

so that is a nice little work with my redesigned spidey and venom. doubt carnage will get a buddy pick, maybe a solo pic though, we'll see how i feel. ciao

(ps if someone feels the need to go nuts with a smudge and blur tool to work this smooth, i dont advise it but feel free to take a lot of credit for that cuz thats a friggin project on its own)
