Custom Green Lantern Costume by ajb3art Custom Green Lantern Costume by ajb3art
This is the suit with 2 symbols. i have detachable symbols depending on what kinda mood im in with the suit. the symbols right now are made from the plastic embossment that comes on the new blackest night figures. just painted. works pretty good. the larger black symbol i used was just printed glossy cardstock. i'll replace it with a figure cut out as soon as i get another one.

the shot also contains 3 rings. the one on the left is the light up BN ring. the middle one is the custom ring i made which is up on its own deviation, as is the power battery depicted with it. i'm 6'2 so that gives u a good scale of the battery, its not turned on though. the third ring is just a regular blackest night ring blacked out like in a prior deviation. i know i didn't sync it up to match the shield but thats fine with me its just to display the costume. i'll get a photoshopped pic up from one of these poses i did in this shoot at some point soon, also wanna mess w/ the new 3d in ps5.

so basically this is sorta like street green lantern, i mean if the suit is a manifestation of the will of the user, why would every single GL have the same damn tights? seems stupid if thats the concept, i mean kyle and Guy made different costumes so i figured maybe in like a smallville universe type deal, this might make sense.

i do have black spandex pants and black boots to do a more traditional suit, as depicted in my track meet pic, but this is kinda just a shot at something different, i mean traditional doesn't work so great when ur bald...well usually.

I agree on the tights (mostly because of my male mindset, women in spandex yes, men....)

This is a great work, especially how you made the shirt. And might just need to steal your glove idea, since my lower arms are going to be bare in my costume, and I couldn't figure out how to do anything with them, since the gloves kinda belong with the lanterns.

Keep up the good work

i do love doing custom, but i love reimaginations of existing suits too, some people come up with very bad ass stuff.

I agree, adding on to existing suits can bring something new to the table with a nice retooling.
